"A one day Symposium that explores autonomous career pathways for Illustration graduates and professionals. We have a distinguished line-up of speakers, who are all keen to discuss the proposal that illustrators will only find creative satisfaction through self-expression and creating work that is meaningful to them, and not dependent on short-lived trends or dictates of the graphic design industry.
The Symposium will take place at Pittville Studios, University of Gloucestershire, Cheltenham on Wednesday the 15 October 2008, and will coincide with the presentation ceremony of the second Cheltenham Illustration Awards." Flyer copy

October 2007
Zineopolis has now properly launched! Supported by the University, this collection will build-up over the next few years, aligned to the Illustration Course BA(hons). We have been given the go-ahead to collect zines and start an online version of the collection. This collection also supports a unit within illustration, where our students will be producing zines and multilpes.
The site is being built and tested at the moment, so what you see here, is the first draft. Keep visiting us later to see how the collection is building-up.
We are hoping to have exhibitions of our zines and trades with other collections.
